We were so pleased to participate in Inspired Teaching’s “Chocolate Inspiration” on April 21 at the Italian Embassy in DC. At this gala event, attendees celebrated the organization’s 20th birthday and experienced inspired chocolate creations by top DC-area chefs.
We were honored to be there with author and activist Jonathan Kozol, who received the inaugural Inspired Teaching Changemaker Award. This celebrated author and academic has spent more than fifty years fighting for equity in America’s schools.
We served the delicious chocolate-inspired dish pictured, created by PRG Pastry Chef, Cynthia Ruane. The delicious coconut milk cake with caramel milk chocolate mousse, dark chocolate sauce, white chocolate feuilletine and pineapple gel was many guests’ favorite dish from the night!
Together with Corporate Executive Chef Demetrio Zavala, Ruane creates all of the desserts at our DC restaurants LINCOLN, Teddy & The Bully Bar and our newest restaurant and pizza eatery Declaration in DC’s Shaw neighborhood.
